Here's a basic recipe for Maramaralu Laddu:

Ingredients:

3 cups puffed rice (maramaralu or murmura)
1 cup powdered jaggery or sugar
1/4 cup melted ghee (clarified butter)
Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, etc.)
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions:

Heat a pan and dry roast the puffed rice on low heat for a few minutes. This helps to crisp up the puffed rice.
Remove the puffed rice from the pan and allow it to cool.
In the same pan, melt the ghee on low heat.
Add the powdered jaggery or sugar to the melted ghee and mix well until it melts and combines with the ghee.
If using nuts, add them to the pan and roast them until they turn golden brown.
Add the roasted puffed rice and cardamom powder (if using) to the pan. Mix everything together until the puffed rice is well coated with the jaggery-ghee mixture.
Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
While the mixture is still warm, shape it into laddus (round balls) by taking a small portion in your hands and gently pressing and shaping it.
Repeat with the remaining mixture to make more laddus.
Let the laddus cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
These Maramaralu Laddus are delicious and provide a crunchy texture along with the sweetness of jaggery or sugar. They make for a delightful snack or sweet treat that can be enjoyed anytime.
